Jaelyn Ellis is a NYC-based writer, director, and producer.

Her work reflects a commitment to championing character-driven stories from underrepresented voices with nuance and humanity - beyond trauma.

She founded Craft House Pictures, through which she supports emerging filmmakers and produces projects that have premiered at festivals such as Palm Springs ShortFest, Hollyshorts, Frameline, and NewFest. She continues to expand her producing portfolio while developing original projects as a writer and director.

Jaelyn is a graduate of the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts and works as Line Producer and Unit Production Manager with a proven track record of overseeing six-figure independent feature films.

Her film Girlhood received support from The Future of Film is Female Grant and she is a 2026 WAVE Grant recipient.
